Come and join us at the Ward Community Hall to learn all about the Kekeno | New Zealand's Fur Seal!
Join us, to learn fascinating facts and behaviours of kekeno, from a seal expert! We'll also learn about which threats the fur seal experience, and what we can do in our lives to take conservation action. Our events are full of fun games and crafts to make learning interactive and fun. Weather permitting, we'll encourage whānau to visit Ward Beach to see if they can spot any kekeno and also explore the unique geological features along Ward's coastline.
Please do arrive at 10.15am for a 10.30am event kickoff!
We'll be playing some games outside, so please bring comfy shoes along for tamariki and a rain jacket if there is a bit of drizzle.
**Please note that will we have a videographer filming for this event, and we'll have a filming waiver form to sign on arrival.**
