Younger children or those not wishing to go on the optional kayak will be offered  additional activities on the foreshore if you wish to stick around. This will conclude around 11:30am.

Sea Kayaking Optional Extra:  Minimum 8 years of age and older.

Families attending must have attended the morning event - this is an add-on activity.

$30 per adult+child pair (ie $15 per person). Limited numbers!

Each child must be accompanied by an adult. Each parent/child combo will be placed in a double kayak together. The minimum age is a safety requirement by Wilderness Guides and the children must be comfortable on the water and able to swim - there will be no exceptions.  Continue on the learning adventure and join us for a small kayak tour, sponsored by Wilderness Guides and offered at a fraction of the normal price. Check out the Hector's Dolphin habitat in the Marlborough Sounds from the water.

*If you are wanting to attend the kayak session, please indicate so in the booking section.  We will follow up with email with all the details for this part of the day and what you need to do to secure your spot. There are limited spaces, so jump in quick! Spaces will be given in order of registration, others will then be put on a waitlist in the same order.

**The main event will run rain, hail or shine! The sea kayaking portion will be subject to weather conditions. If the kayaking is cancelled due to weather, you will be issued with a full refund. If you have booked a spot on the kayaking and do not turn up on the day, you will forfeit your payment.
